About The Counsellor

Alish Revi

I am an experienced educator with 14 years of expertise in teaching Cambridge English. Over the years, I have worked closely with learners across CBSE, ICSE, and Cambridge boards, guiding them academically and helping them build confidence in language and communication. My exposure to classroom teaching, student mentoring, research project supervision, and event coordination has given me a holistic understanding of student development.

Along with my schoolwork, I also run online part-time tutoring, where I teach and mentor students from different regions. This experience has allowed me to connect with a wider group of learners and understand their academic needs, learning patterns, and aspirations more deeply.

I am now expanding my expertise into career counselling, with the goal of offering this service alongside my tutoring. My aim is to support students in making informed academic and career decisions. Having guided learners through research projects, expos, AI-based studies, and real-world field visits, I bring a practical and empathetic approach to mentoring. My experience with psychological assessment tools, student behaviour patterns, and interest mapping enables me to help students discover their true strengths.

Passionate, supportive, and fully committed, I believe every student deserves clear direction and encouragement to unlock their potential. Through personalised guidance—both online and offline—I aim to make a meaningful and lasting difference in each student’s life.

Additional:

My professional background spans extensive teacher training and deep involvement with multiple curricula, including Cambridge, CBSE, ICSE, IB, Edexcel, and various State Board syllabi. This broad exposure has enabled me to develop a comprehensive understanding of diverse pedagogical approaches, academic expectations, and assessment frameworks. I am currently working as a career counsellor in a reputed Cambridge International School, where I support learners in making informed academic and career choices while collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and school leadership.

My international work with the Ministry of Education in the Maldives and Uzbekistan has further strengthened my ability to engage effectively with students and educators in multicultural, global contexts. Supported by a strong academic foundation in Psychology, I can analyse learner behaviour, developmental stages, motivation patterns, and cognitive preferences with clarity and precision. This expertise allows me to accurately identify a student’s current level of development—academic, behavioural, or emotional—and guide them with appropriate strategies to improve, progress, and transition to the next stage of growth.

I also work closely with parents and students who face behavioural, motivational, or learning-related challenges, offering evidence-based insights and personalised solutions that promote healthy development and sustained confidence. Together, these experiences enable me to provide holistic, research-informed, and student-centred guidance aligned with each learner’s abilities, needs, and long-term aspirations.
